What you’ll find
A nostalgic Showa-era neighborhood sento in Maebashi with a medicinal herbal bath (yakuyu), one of only two sento left in the city; open just three days a week, and its showers have reportedly been broken for years, so bathers wash from a basin instead.
Indoor baths
2Two adjoining tubs, one shallow and one deep, both medicated.stated by 2 visitors · Apr 2021 – Aug 2025

What visitors add
The water
The water is hot to very hot: eight distinct reviewers describe hot water — one first-timer could not get in until another bather added cold water (and reports another regular objected to adding water); two reviewers say their bodies stayed warm for about 2 hours after bathing.
stated by 8 visitors · Dec 2022 – Nov 2025The water
This is a sento with medicinal herb baths (yakuyu), not an onsen: six distinct reviewers mention the yakuyu; one (Apr 2021) says both tubs — one shallow, one deep — were entirely yakuyu.

The wall showers do not work: five distinct reviewers (2021–2024) report the showers are broken/unusable, so you wash by filling a basin from the taps; one later reviewer (Nov 2025) notes the taps flow strongly enough to fill a Kerorin basin quickly, and one counts about 10 tap stations.
stated by 6 visitors · Apr 2021 – Nov 2025Day-use visits
The bathhouse operates only three days a week — Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday: five distinct reviewers (2022–2024) state this; one gives hours of 14:00–20:00, and two others confirm closing at 20:00.
stated by 5 visitors · Nov 2022 – Nov 2024Price
Admission is 450 yen for adults (junior-high age and up): four distinct reviewers (May 2024 – Jul 2026); one itemizes elementary children 200 yen and infants 100 yen, and one notes there is no time limit. An earlier reviewer (Apr 2021) paid 400 yen, so the price rose at some point between 2021 and 2024.
stated by 5 visitors · Apr 2021 – Jul 2026Staffing
The sento has a staffed bandai (attendant counter) and five distinct reviewers praise the owners/attendants as kind, chatty and welcoming to newcomers — one attendant handed a bather a pocket warmer, another warned a guest to be careful walking home in the dark.
