One reviewer identifies the spring as sodium chloride-bicarbonate; another describes an iron-tinged, slightly salty source with abundant flow; a third simply calls it natural onsen. The indoor carbonated bath is artificial ('人工炭酸泉' per one reviewer), and one Aug 2026 reviewer complains the carbonation is often absent, leaving it 'just lukewarm water'.

Outdoor bath & sauna

The open-air area is large, with a wide rotenburo, lying bath (neyu), pot baths (tsubo-yu), and rock baths (at least four reviews). Two reviewers warn about the tsubo-yu: one says its hot-water circulation outlet is awkwardly placed mid-tub and the entry is slippery; another says in winter the tsubo-yu discharges near-scalding water from the bottom. The cold bath is described by one reviewer as knee-deep but about 3m square, and by another as smallish.

There are three saunas (three reviews): a high-temperature tower sauna, a mid-temperature sauna (65 degrees C per one reviewer), and a mist/steam sauna in the open-air area, which one Aug 2026 reviewer reports was out of order. Loyly is disputed: one Aug 2026 reviewer describes an auto-loyly every 15 minutes in the mid-temp sauna, while one Mar 2026 reviewer says there is no loyly (1 vs 1).
