A remote, riverside village-run onsen in Ueno-mura with a small indoor bath and a highly praised outdoor bath overlooking the Kannagawa river; the 14.7C weakly acidic cold mineral source is heated and chlorinated (no sauna or cold plunge), and one reviewer drove two hours only to find it closed for unannounced maintenance.
